The Blessing of the Miracle Mind
I was given the biblical verse below by the Archdeacon of Manchester, “Jesus Calls His First Disciples”.
I was genuinely inspired by how she explained it to me in such a profound way… Her inspiration motivated me to trust and to see how Jesus would speak through me and provide guidance through the insights found in the biblical verse within myself.
Jesus Calls His First Disciples Luke 5 :1-11
One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret,[a] the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. 2 He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”
5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”
6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” 9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, 10 and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” 11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.
When I started reading the bible passage, I immediately felt a block and found myself doubting my ability to fully understand the bible verses… I began journaling and just writing down my thoughts and processes of what each verse brought up for me…
For the first verse, I saw an image of Jesus by a lake… Then I wanted to skim the word Gennesaret as I could not pronounce it correctly, and it would be easier for me to simply say the word lake instead… I then had a strong urge to Google what Gennesaret meant… I discovered that Gennesaret is a lake of healing, where miracles happen… When I read this, my face gleamed with joy… And I thanked Jesus for this vital insight about the verse… And for helping me to not give up on the word Gennesaret as it carries a significant meaning, a meaning I had been on the verge of disregarding simply because I couldn’t articulate or pronounce it properly…
My imagination had now expanded significantly; Jesus not only stood beside a lake, but beside a healing lake. I then began to look for other places in the Bible where I could find references to Gennesaret, the miraculous lake of healing. I wanted to immerse myself in the imagery of the Lake Gennesaret and feel what a healing lake feels like…
Mark 6: 53-56
53 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and anchored there. 54 As soon as they got out of the boat, people recognized Jesus. 55 They ran throughout that whole region and carried the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. 56 And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.

After reading, praying, journaling, and trusting, I was wondering how I could condense everything to share with you all in my own unique way… So here I go…
The Gift of Vision
The gift of vision, the life giving miraculous water running happily beside him, noticed the edge, prayers of streams coming from everywhere… The healing remedy to see things exactly as they are… A need for a saviour, the vision of stillness… Two boats of division, the creation of two minds… The mind of Simon and the mind of God, the lower mind and the higher mind being brought together by the miraculous healing waters of the infinite Christ our Lord the saviour as one…
The increasing words of Jesus Christ increased, where Simon’s faith was noticed at the edge, Jesus got into Simon’s boat, Simon’s mind and he was healed and called to return…
The Invitation
The invitation - Simon received what he wanted, his prayers were deeply focused on God’s help… He caught the biggest fish Jesus Christ, through Jesus his prayers were answered, where he received more than he asked for…
The Son of the Ship teaches us
With Jesus “The Son of the Ship” Simon was guided to signal to the right source for help, so that his boat, his mind doesn’t sink…
Sometimes, we have to place ourselves in the boat when things get rocky and invite Jesus to be with us, and pray until the deep waters are calmed, and to have faith that he will bring us what we need and more… Even though Simon’s prayers were answered he still felt unworthy to receive them, he placed himself back into the lower boat, the lower mind, the place of judgment, so that his higher court could agree to be against him…
The Higher Court - The Higher Mind - The Higher Boat
In the higher court, the higher mind, the higher boat, we can see that Jesus will always dismiss the fears and the cases that we build against ourselves ….
I Live Without Fear
I have been listening to a beautiful song by swami Kriyananda called I Live Without Fear… Which I wanted to share with use…
Some of the words that call out to me are…
My Lord, in Your presence I live without fear.
Through turbulent tide, The touch of Your hand… Is my strength, and my guide.
I crave only Thee: Your love, and Your joy.
I welcome the darkness With You for my friend
All Things are Possible with Jesus Christ
All things are possible with Jesus Christ by our side as our dear friend. With his presence, we can overcome any challenge that we are faced with in our lives. Just like Simon demonstrated, he showed us that when we practice patience, learn to let go of our burdens, and desire a deep relationship with God more than anything else, we can find strength and peace in even the most trying circumstances…. And though Simon was in need of catching fish, he was in need of God’s Love more…
With Jesus’s patience, faith and love, we will learn that only through Jesus’s patience, faith and love that this is the only verdict that will guarantee us freedom from the court of our minds…
Ego Death
Simon, now called Simon Peter, experienced an ego death where he released the grip of ego-consciousness… And entered into a new cycle of rebirth where he was healed and freed from the court of his lower mind, and was granted a new job, Fishers of Men… Where he was rewarded with a New Mind, a Mind of Discipleship, a world where the Ego Cannot Understand and Dwell.
