9th Day 🧡

Peace Sangha,

Today is the final day of our 9 day cleanse. It has truly been a wonderful experience to pause from consuming regular foods and refraining from using salt and seasonings. Some of the challenges I have experienced during the cleanse have been cooking for my son and wishing that someone else would prepare and make the ingredients for me. Overall, I have felt the healing that has taken place on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

I feel lighter and radiant, my energy feels renewed and deepened. I have noticed this more so in my meditation and prayer practice. Throughout this cleanse, I have been very active, even more so than before, and I notice that I feel stronger and more centred within myself.

When it comes to breaking the cleanse, it is important to be mindful of what you reintroduce into your body temple. I suggest that you use light, nourishing foods such as homemade soups, quinoa, lentils, watermelon, strawberries, papaya, soursop, nuts, seeds, smoothies, fresh juices, fresh herbal teas and plenty of water are ideal choices. Gradually, you should start adding your usual amount of salt and seasonings back into your body temple. It is essential to trust your intuition throughout this process.

I have decided to extend the purifying process and fast for another 3 days, juicing only oranges and grapefruits. I highly do not recommend this after a cleanse. It is something that I have been doing for a while now, and I have been fasting regularly for over 18 years. I will continue to share my journey with you all. Once I have completed this extended fast, I will share with you the foods I have chosen to break my fast with.
