Peace Sangha,
Here are the resources for August. You will find selected excerpts from the book Transitioning in Grace, inspired by the Chapter 9: Marilyn—Overcoming Fear With Compassion.
Reflection - Marilyn’s Gentle Courage
Marilyn’s story reminds us that courage does not always appear as strength or boldness. Sometimes courage is soft, quiet, and expressed through the way a person continues to love even while facing fear.
She met the fear of death not with resistance, but with compassion, acceptance, and a non‑judgmental heart. Her sweetness was one of acceptance— it was a spiritual strength that allowed her to stay open, grateful, and receptive to the love around her.
Her life teaches us:
We do not need to be warriors to walk through difficult transitions.
Spirit works through our natural qualities — even the gentle ones.
Compassion can dissolve fear.
Acceptance can bring peace.
Non‑judgment can open the heart to grace.
Marilyn’s passing was quiet, but her inner journey was a life lived as a yogi. She showed that even in times of vulnerability, a soul can shine with tenderness and trust. Her example encourages us to meet our own grief with kindness, non judgement and compassion.
And to be open to allow support from others, because allowing others to support us is not a weakness it is wisdom, it is strength.
May these words of wise counsel bless you this month.
