Step 0 The Divine Will Invitation

Blessings Dear Friends,

Let’s dive straight in…

Paramhansa Yogananda (2007) shared that in order to develop spiritually, you must first follow the universal spirit of Christ…

Below are some sacred and uplifting words from the Bible, Paramhansa Yogananda and myself.

These powerful excerpts are intended to help us reflect, to journal our thoughts, and to invite the presence of Jesus Christ and his divine light into our lives as we embark on the mysterious Divine Will Healing Journey Through the Spine together.

  • Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.

  • His acceptance will be His greatest gift to you. For if He gives anything to anyone, He gives nothing less than Himself. In giving Himself, He will make your heart big enough to hold Him; then your heart will throb with Christ in everything (Yogananda, 1952).

  • The Lord is my Shepherd

  • 1 You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit?  Where can I flee from your presence?

  • Affirmation: We invite you into our lives, Jesus Christ, to light our way…

  • After spending some time in reading, reflection and journalling … Become aware of how Jesus Christ has responded to your Divine Invitation… You could do this by drawing art, poetry or finding your own meaningful words, tuning in to whatever calls your heart…

Yamas & Niyamas

What are the Yamas & Niyamas

The Yamas and Niyamas are ethical spiritual principles of yoga and a way of life. Where we will use them as a prescription or a remedy, to assist us in transforming our ego consciousness into Christ consciousness.  This will enhance our healing journey through the spine and the steps together, towards deeper understanding and align us more closely to our true selves, true highest purpose and soul nature….

We will also use them to treat ourselves with self love, unconditional love, non judgment, care and compassion as we hand in hand journey together.

  • Truth and Non-Violence are like the two sides of a coin - one cannot exist without the other. Using another imagery, Ahimsa is the path along which one reaches truth. Violence leads to more violence and hampers the clear vision which is essential for the pursuit of Truth.

At a personal level; Ahimsa consists in not only forbearing from physical violence; in order to achieve non-violence it is necessary to remove from the mind all hatred, all jealousy and all desire to harm even those who harm us. The next step would be to extend our love to all living beings, including living beings like snakes, tigers, etc.

At a social level, the goal of Ahimsa is to create a society where there would be no need to act in an anti-social manner and hence no need for any punishment. This can happen only when the economic differences between the classes get considerably narrowed down and when the erring members of society are considered as their own brothers by the righteous.

    Mahatma Gandhi

  • During a visit to the ashram of Mahatma Gandhi in 1935, I asked the prophet of nonviolence for his definition of ahimsa. He replied: “The avoidance of harm to any living creature in thought or deed.” A man of nonviolence neither willfully gives nor wishes harm to any. He is a paradigm of the golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

    Paramahansa Yogananda

  • Ahimisa is the foundation for the Yama and the Niyamas… The lesson that Ahimsa gifts us with, is the absence of jealousy, harmful thoughts or feelings towards ourselves or others. When we adhere to Ahimsa, it helps us achieve peace and harmony for ourselves and the world. It also offers us a peaceful security that follows and accompanies us everywhere we go.
